When dropping into a hole that sends you to another room, there is a very short window where you can pause the game and hit the quit button, if you're quick. This caused this strange effect. I may have been able to move around, but i couldn't tell until i hopped on the spinner, at which point it was clear i was moving around the basement room from the enemy sounds. After letting the enemies kill me the game was stuck, and no button presses did anything. I couldn't even load a save state using the mods i had installed.

To my knowledge this is the first time a glitch like this has been performed using vanilla methods. While my game is modded, it shouldn't affect the result, and is likely reproducible in the unmodded game.
