In this Let's Play video, you will see me play Untraveled Lands: Chantico (Steam Next Fest). This game plays similar to Stacklands, a Strategy Resource Management Game with some City Builder like mechanics. The demo doesn't seem to showcase the City Builder mechanics element yet. This demo is focused on a main character, the Professor Howard exploring the mysterious land looking for a Portal (reminds me of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom). Instead of collecting coins and buying card packs to gain resources (Stacklands), you explore the edges of the game world to get resources. The Trailer for the game looks really cool with various other explorers to choose from and hopefully will have the city builder mechanics in place. The Game plays in real time with a day and night cycle. At the end of the day, you need to feed your characters. You'll need to manage your resources by staying within your card limit. If you go over the limit, you will randomly lose cards to go back to the limit. Later, you'll unlock the lava bucket and altar to remove cards. You'll need to survive by finding food and then look for the Altar and Portal with your Compass. Discover new blueprints and craft items or structures with the various resources that you gather. I really enjoyed playing this demo and highly recommend checking out the Demo for yourself and adding it to your Wishlist.
