UPDATE + DBFZ Team Change, Post-Balance Patch [Some Combos]
Well, figured I'd kill two birds with one stone: Update on what's up and to show that Hit's got his waifu back thanks to the recent balance patch. I'll get into that last. For the channel update:
I know I said I'd do a Post-Commentary of my X6 run, but... I actually might turn that into a mini-review type of thing because I had a lot more to say than expected that NEEDS to be said. However, reviewing is different than just a "hey, I liked this and that, hated this and that about the run", so I'll just postpone that into it's own little mini project that I'll stuff into a sorta-big video down the road. So this time, just take one of my traditional description updates this time around.
As for the next MMX No Damage project, it's coming along smoothly. Intro Stage + 3 Mavericks already down and still having good momentum. So yeah, the MMX Legacy Marathon is continuing strong and I believe you'll like this next one because I'll be going the Custom BGM route I'm known for doing with my past content like Tales. So that'll give a little more spice to things this time around. I doubt I'll go full Custom BGM for the whole marathon or the rest of my future projects in general, but we'll see. Sorry for being vague again, but you know me and my surprises. You'll see which X game is next when the trailer drops. If everything goes according to plan and on schedule, I should have the run finished by next week (or bare minimum, all 8 Mavericks depending on IRL stuff) and the trailer should drop by then. So yeah, as usual, I'll either dump more DBFZ videos here in the meantime or other random crap I feel like putting up to let you know I ain't dead.
But yeah into the DBFZ stuff. I cried manly tears to see 21 nerfed so unnecessarily (combo game-wise, she's unchanged). With her range literally neutered and some added negative frames to her fire ball, it makes me really question... why? I can possibly see the range decrease on 2M being justified due to round start being pretty unfair to untrained players, but not everyone is stupid enough to fall for that more than a few times, ESPECIALLY if the 21 player doesn't change up their round start habits and go for the 2M every time. But... I digress. The REALLY good thing about this is that her assist got the buff it TRULY deserved. It has better hit and block stun, meaning the opponent will recover a lot slower and open up for some great combos she previously couldn't provide Hit with (the fact that she can give Hit a near-effortless 2L and 5M catch is just delicious). Now the assist can give Hit damn near all the perks of a beam assist combo-wise, though still doesn't help him as good in the neutral and blockstrings. However, I got Yamcha for that, so no biggie. Beam assists are still the optimal way to go for Hit, but fuck it. It's my team and 21 finally does what I ALWAYS needed her to do in the past.
Good job, Arc Sys. While you kinda just ignored mah boi Hit with the balances and the 21 nerfs were kinda stupid, I can at least appreciate ya looking out for the OG duo that I'll stay loyal to always.
