Mega Man X8 No Damage (Layer): Intro Stage [Hard Mode]
Mega Man X8 (Layer/Zero): No damage taken, where I'm playing through the game on Hard Mode. It's a NG+ file, so of course, I'll have all of the weapons. This is not a minimalist run, so I'm using everything at my disposal, but still remaining fair for the No Damage challenge. This is the Legacy Collection version, so all game-breaking glitches are no longer present and I'm playing Mega Man X8 glitch-free; the way it's supposed to be. So yeah, here's the beginning of the run. Layer can't fight the boss of the Intro Stage, so this is just me doing the returning version of it just for completion's sake. Still, it's a good introduction into what you'll expect out of this run. I'll be making use of the various cancels the game has for Zero, and since Layer is merely a copy and paste of normal Zero, anything he can do, she can do. I'll probably drop a video in the future breaking down the various amounts of cancelling this game has, for it's much different from the likes of SDC in X4, 5 and 6.
Nothing not worth mentioning about the stage itself. Intro Stage is the Intro Stage... and getting no damage was a cakewalk. This stage is easy even with the boss in it, so I'm sure no one cares it's gone on a lunch break.
Yeah, I kinda stopped the Difficulty Ratings. I just don't feel like it's necessary for a game like X8, where the difficulty (...for the most part) is fairly balanced, save the ride chaser stages (which in my opinion are some of the worst in the series). But... more on that when we get there. Main reason I stopped using them is because I'm branching out and trying to establish my own identity, as the Difficulty Ratings started with RoahmMythril and I'm not trying to be anyone's copy. So, I'm currently brainstorming new ideas to implement into my runs after this one, even though I feel like I'm already there with the intros and Stage/Boss intro texts I introduced in my X6 run. But I'm still working to expand my name and I think you'll like what I've already got in mind.
