Upgrading The Swap Zoo! - Command Block Survival - Ep 180
We start off with a resource pack experiment to see if we can change command block visuals, then we bugfix and upgrade the Swap Zoo so that we can add a new and interesting ruins exhibit for our Camels, Rabbits, Allays, Parrots, Skeleton Horses, and Armadillos.
*Behind The Scenes: *
So saving with redstone is actually a temporary save that only lasts until the world is closed. The manual save actually updates the file with the new info. So the RS save is still nice because as long as the world is open it's keeping it up-to-date so that I would only need one manual save before logging out (which it should do automatically in my opinion but that's besides the point). It's also nice for the dolphin test section since those blocks get loaded back in as real blocks rather than a file, so that stays up-to-date. Might be a good way of working with the redstone save in the future if the blocks are physically placed somewhere...
While updating Box 2 after it was overwritten, I ran out of prismarine and needed to check my Guardian farm for some more. On the way I discovered an escaped Elder Guardian and had to chase him all around the nether hub to try to heard him back to his pen. It was quite ridiculous but he looked really cool underneath the nether bridges that go to the portals, so I might have to add some sort of "shark" type of mob there since it gives such a unique effect.
The cake circuit was such a pain because originally I was trying to trigger only at daylight 11, which meant I needed to remove all signals below that and above that, put that in a very compact space, AND make it not visible from below. After trying for quite some time, I was unable to meet all three requirements and started messing around and found that daylight next to inverted daylight circuit. It only triggers at sunset and sunrise and is surprisingly simple (could also be hooked up to a copper bulb to only trigger once a day)! It doesn't work when it's raining and under shade, but I believe if the inverted sensor is open to the sky it works even when raining.
Command Block Survival is a gamemode where every command has a self-imposed price. It allows crafting of certain creative mode items (the recipe is part of the price) and adds an entirely new dimension of creativity!
