Command Block Survival - Learning Chunkloaders for 1.21.9 - Ep 181
13We're in Snapshot 25w36b, and we're trying out all the new stuff! In particular with spawn chunks being removed I want to try to learn how to chunk load to prepare for the future of 1.21.9. We'll also look at the new copper golems, copper blocks, mannequins (with a cool little project), and shelves!
*Behind The Scenes: *
I messed with the Debug screen to make the long line appear lower, but it cluttered the F3 screen up, so I stuck with the info I wanted to see. Also because of GUI scale 4, I can't see all the tags on grass blocks, so pushing it lower would've hid even more tags (but if that debug help line disappears I may be able to see everything).
When I softlocked myself I had to actually reset the interaction entity manually in the files a few times, and one time I saved the entity file while the world was open! It corrupted the entity chunks and deleted most every entity, and I had to copy from the backup I made when the episode began and remake the Mannequin and the Copper Golems. 😅
I messed around with powered shelves for a long time and could not get anything to work. The nine slots seems like it could be super useful for an anything-auto crafter, but I didn't have the time to figure it out. Definitely want to fiddle around more with them in the future. I intuitively get the sense that they could be VERY useful because their function is so unique.

Command Block Survival is a gamemode where every command has a self-imposed price. It allows crafting of certain creative mode items (the recipe is part of the price) and adds an entirely new dimension of creativity!
