Danish philosopher Soren Kirkegaard is attributed with coining the phrase “a leap of faith”. Originally, the saying was intended to refer to religious beliefs, in that faith is what causes the leap.
Hermes Fortress awaits in this episode of James and Thymesia. Slight spoiler, but this is probably my favorite area of the game so far. Pesky archers and hidden foes aside, the level design here is fun. Sometimes the only path forward in some spots is either up (via ladders, a popular fort decoration, apparently) or down (no ladder provided here, only a leap of faith). I love the idea, and incredibly, the entire level becomes circular. I might be gushing about Hermes Fortress so much because the previous episodes featured some horrendously difficult levels. But a reminder: Thymesia is still a Bloodborne-like, so something is bound to ruin my zen at any moment (hint: most likely the annoying trigger-happy archers).
I'm James and I play games. Please enjoy part 7 of my let's play of Thymesia.
