Using cavalry for harrying numerically superior force and exploiting landscape features
Opposing force had numerical advantage of 3:2, divided force with roughly 3/5 crossing the creek on the opposition's left flank, and kept the remaining 2/5 force comprised with most of the heavy ranged infantry in defensive/containing formations on the oppositions right flank to prevent their crossing.
The 3/5 force exploited small features on opposition's left-flank including: 3-small hills to perch gunpowder and other ranged infantry as barrage units. Opposition was mostly melee and ranged infantry, so deployed high mobility melee and ranged cavalry in attempts to harass and disrupt opposition's internal-lines of movement. Also engaged in multiple harrying charges and retreating ranged fire on the opposition's rear.
Attempted to push all opposition forces towards the center of the map, thereby linking up all separated forces and surrounding opposition forces on 3/4th of it's sides. Also attempted to sandwich opposition forces on it's right flank, between the cavalry, and the creek, but was unsuccessful on both counts, due to the opposing force adapting it's formation on it's right flank, and poor timing and positioning of the cavalry charges.
Further, was not able to achieve breakout on the opposition left flank to link-up with either cavalry or defensive forces on the opposite river-bank at the enemies right-flank due to lack of mass and their continued ability to shift their mass between both fronts with minimal losses and transit time.
The Opposing force finally breaks on their left-flank with mass routes, which occurred after melee infantry felled the enemy general. Similarly, their force resolve broke on their right-flank during it's last attempt to break out and cross the creek, which again induced a mass-route.
During the route, forces were not positioned well to destroy all retreating units, but cut down significant number of men with cavalry and ranged fire. Final result: Roughly 75% of the opposition force was destroyed, with the rest successfully retreated.
