An example of how the Equalizer Cheat Cartridge works but before that some handy feature of this cheat device:

(Sometimes in order to get certain games to work you will have to change the Equalizer Keycode in order to get games to boot up with the Equalizer cheat cartridge).

1: You can change the menu background setting of your cheat cartridge.
2: You can view your memory card game pack saves and delete copy or format them.
3: You can change the key code selection to be able to use the cheat cartridge with different Nintendo 64 games.

Getting back to adding cheats to this cheat cartridge I basically went to this great website below:

http://uk.codejunkies.com/search/codes_search_results.aspx?platval=6&game=&plat=Nintendo%2064

Found a cheat code I liked by finding my game title on the website page, thankfully it was already on the cheat cartridge but if it was not I would find a cheat code I liked on the website which is normally a combination of one, two or more rows of 12 numbers or letters.

After finding the cheat code I would go to the main menu on the Equalizer. Select Cheat Codes by pressing the a button then find the word New game at the top and press a again to add a new game at this point I would go to edit name by pressing the a button then type in the game name using a as well then press b when finished.

You can also just press a to detect game name which makes it a lot easier.

After this I would press a on exit & save and find the game I have just typed in the games list when found I would press a on my game title then press it again on the word new code.

At this point, I would name my code by pressing a on the words new code description at this point would normally be M for Master Code or if the game does not need one just a standard cheat code title name. Then press b when finished then press down.

I would then enter either one or two rows of 12 digits using the a button, type in my code then when done press b and right then a on exit & save my new cheat code. If more rows are needed just press down and a to continue entering rows of code.

I would then repeat the above process to enter more cheat codes if needed, in some cases, you will need the master code and a normal cheat code in some cases just the cheat code.

I would then press a to highlight this new cheat code (In some cases master code as well), press start, then press a on the word start game with selected codes.

Hopefully, after viewing this cheat cartridge in action it will convince you it's worth buying :D
