Demo of defending Nightmare Wave 1 with primarily Pikes, and one Ballista as support. Couldn't tell which way the horde was going around the rock. Got sloppy with the troops; no need to get hit by a Spitter or lose anyone, and should have sold Ballista before it went down. Could definitely have built more but wasn't necessary. Pikes could have handled it on their own, but Spitters would have been a bit of a pain.

I like this defense because it gives a boost to early clearing speed, which is the limiter on eco. It also requires no significant saving of resources for the DN, and you have a strong clearing force immediately after.
