The continuing adventures in the Valheim world we've have been running since Hearth and Home was released. All vanilla, no mods, survivor mode.

This is a combat video where I nearly die to a gjall bomb. Recording was made during patch 0.219.14 when I was super sleepy.

First off, I'm thankful to all of you for spending a little time with me. Happy Thanksgiving!

In the real world, I took a vacation for the first time in years. This meant the longest break I've taken playing Valheim since the game came out I think.

It has been my favorite for a while now. :P

Anyway, I'm back and I am still looking for infested mines and black cores.

I finally found one during a session that I played right when I got back from my trip at about 1am... after a seven hour flight across the States... it wasn't the best idea.

I came upon a couple of one-star seekers and a gjall lurking around. My Staff of the Wild did a great job taking care of the bugs, but when the gjall came over, things got a bit more chaotic.

Using the infested mine as cover, I was able to take down most of the seekers. The gjall fired a few shots that the mine blocked, but one got through. Oof, it hurt and burnt. I was down to 7 HP, and would have died had I not panic healed and run away.

I need to remember my fire resistance potions...

Anyway, I was able to get to some high ground and take down the gjall with my Ember Staff and Storm Ripper. There were just a couple of bug stragglers and then I was able to get into the mine and build a portal.

The mine took a few shots from the gjall, but managed to hold up okay.

After I went through the portal, I had to curse a bit. That was a hard fight for me in the middle of the night and my heart was pounding. Glad that I didn't die. What a great game. :D
