The continuing adventures in the Valheim world we've have been running since Hearth and Home was released. All vanilla, no mods, survivor mode.

This is a building video and small tour of the shield bubbles around the Village. Recording was made during patch 0.218.21.

Yay bubbles!

Okay, so I still haven't fought Fader, but I'm preparing the Village for the event that will trigger after he's defeated. I've been collecting cores and making generators around the Village, and the coverage is finally starting to fill in a bit.

Today, I've got enough materials for two more generators and I'm going to protect two very important buildings to me, the Suntower and our community house.

The Suntower was a big sundial clocktower that I wanted to be visible from the center of town where the kitchen, forge, and Pavilion are. It has worked great, but it is in need of decoration and improvement with new materials. It was made before the Mistlands and was a blast to build.

I was going to place the generator on the second level, but it seemed a bit too close to home, so I moved up to the third and last stone level. The generator could be placed there without modifying the structure, so I tried it out and the bubble almost covers the entire tower. Just a tiny bit pokes out at the top and I think I'm okay with that for now. I can always make a single step up later if I want to get full coverage.

Once the generator was in place, I went up top and took a leap off, taking a look at the tower and bubbles as I went. It is cool to see the Village changing after it has been static for so long.

I ran around a bit and I am really liking how the bubble domes can frame openings where they meet. The hard circular lines they make are really neat and I'll have to play with that if I can think of a cool design.

The second generator was placed at our community home, which was the first building on the Village site. We scouted around for a locations for our personal houses, but before those were built, were all had to sleep somewhere. I cannot wait to start a new seed at 1.0 and do it all again.

I took one last stroll to the dock and towards home, admiring the bubbles again and scheming where I need to place more.

I'll have to start diving for infested mines again, I need more cores...
