There's this new game called Valheim that everyone is playing right now, I decided to try it last night & I'm already addicted but I thought it would be fun to try it in VR... Valheim VR (with the Valheim first person mod / Valheim first person mode thrown in as well) is seriously awesome, it transforms this third person survival game into an immersive first person experience & it runs great on Oculus Quest 2 with a link cable. To achieve this Valheim VR gameplay I used my go to flatscreen game converting app Vorpx and was able to get full geometry 3D & headtracking once I logged into the game world & started exploring! Valheim, will it VR? Lets find out...

I'm still very new to Valheim so all of the Valheim VR gameplay / Valheim first person gameplay captured in this video is from the beginning portion of the game, I haven't embarked upon any quests to defeat bosses yet & I haven't set sail across the seas. I have built a house & chopped down a bunch of trees though, so I'm getting there. The Valheim first person mod was incredibly easy to install and really helped to make this Valheim Oculus Quest 2 gameplay even more immersive than it would have been in third person. You can perform all the normal actions you'd normal be able to carry out in first person & in VR. Build, fight, play with friends, everything remains the same and is completely possible if you use Vorpx & a VR headset to play Valheim in VR. It really is quite impressive but it does take a bit of tinkering, if you are new to the Vorpx software then it's good to know that it takes a little while to learn before you get the settings perfect.

I hope you enjoyed this Valheim VR gameplay / Valheim Quest 2 gameplay (this isn't native Oculus #Quest2 gameplay but it is running on a Quest that is connected to PC via Oculus Quest link cable), I will likely upload some more exciting Valheim first person gameplay / VR Valheim gameplay once I've progressed a little further into the game and have learned more about this addictive new survival game.
