Valor Points are a currency that was first introduced around the Cataclysm expansion, and got taken out during Mists of Pandaria. It's essentially a PvE currency that allows players in WoW to upgrade their existing PvE gear from raids, World Bosses etc. by spending this currency at a vendor. After years of the Valor drought, they are being reintroduced in Shadowlands as a valid PvE currency for Mythic+ dungeon content.
