By changing the Valorant map settings you can improve how much of the map you can see. Being able to see more of the map will help you see where teammates are located and eliminated. This information can help you make better plays in Valorant.
A useful tip is to change the enemy highlight color setting in Valorant. Changing the color to yellow can make it easier to notice when you see an enemy. Yellow is a brighter color that you may recognize faster. Additionally, the yellow color tends to stand out from the background better.
Another Valorant setting you should change is the crosshair color. Sometimes the color of your crosshair can be blending into other players or the background, preventing you from seeing it as easily as needed. Changing the color can help you see exactly where you're aiming so you don't have any issues.
Additionally, you may also want to turn on the advanced crosshair Valorant setting. This will allow you to customize your primary, aim down sight, and sniper scope crosshair individually. This is useful as typically you will be tap firing while you're aimed down sight. For tap firing you may prefer a smaller crosshair, or a dot. Turning this setting on also allows you to adjust the color for each crosshair individually, as well as all the settings.
We recommend disabling mouse acceleration. With mouse acceleration disabled your mouse will move more consistently, allowing your aim to be more accurate. If you had mouse acceleration enabled then it may take some time to get used to. You can disable mouse accerlation through the mouse settings on your PC, or by enabling the raw input buiffer in the Valorant settings.
A helpful Valorant setting which you should turn on is HRTF. This will make audio sound as if it's in surround sound, helping you hear footsteps better. Additionally, you may also want to adjust your headset audio settings to make enemies easier to hear. You can do this through software for your headset if available, or by using SteelSeries Sonar.
