1How I make caves with VHE. Basically you have to already know how your cave structure is going to look or else going back and messing with displacement brushes in the editor is a total nightmare.
Doing the cave in Blender or another 3D editor and importing into source has one problem and it is the lightmap scale for meshes cannot be toggled in this engine.
