I've always liked the tunes that play when you die in Vampire Rain - especially the one that plays when you die to a Nightwalker as it seems fitting of the horror setting while still remaining short - so I decided to record it myself and while I was at it I also recorded the other death cutscene. There are two types: One that shows blood splattered on the screen complete with squelchy sound effects and another when blood flows down the screen, both displaying GAME OVER at the end. They play when you either die to a Nightwalker or through other means such as fall damage respectively and have a different music sting on each of them. I was grabbing the first one for potential use with editing antics in the future and I thought I'd share it with you all. Skilled editors could even use chroma key to have some fun editing things into these scenes. Use your powers responsibly. ;)


The reason that there is no sound in this video besides the actual death music such as the Nightwalker munching on me in the first scene is because I had the sound effects and voice turned off while leaving the music maxed out. I initially assumed that the death tunes would count as sound effects, but my first attempt to record it had it muted when I had the background music set to 0 and the sound effects set to 10. Interestingly, even the blood splatter sound effect was muted if I turned the music off. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
