Vanguard Bandits - Chapter 20 (Bad) - Darkness and Light
83Notice - This ending as mentioned before can only be obtained if the party's morale (or happiness) is low before the final Chapter. This can be achieved by never visiting the interview option and let your units get destroyed often (except bastion, he gets destroyed and its gameover lol) - I used a Cheatcode to access the stage with the same team I did the Good ending as I didn't want to redo the whole game and suck on purpose lol.
Now to note that what I will be mentioning will be spoilers about the stage, so if you're reading this before plot happens... then I recommend watching before continuing!
At the beginning of the Stage the first line Faulkner says changes and after a bit of Dialogue, Bastion is Brainwashed to fight against his allies.
In short, its Bastion against his former allies.
Now that doesn't mean that bastion is all alone, The enemy units will help you out to defeat your former allies but they will be all AI controlled. If Bastion is defeated, its Gameover.
Whenever Bastion engages his allies, they do try to make him return to his sense but sadly nothing can be done. Since my group is extremely balanced and its not a bad team at all, if Bastion rushes in, he is dead. No doubt about it! Even if they weren't, Dionne is more than capable is wrecking him.
The strategy is to simply wait.
You can either run behind the Zulwarn or on the top left/right section of the map and wait until its over or provide support to the AI and have a chance of getting attacked by your former allies and get some convos...
In other words, unless you do it deliberately, You already won, although tbh, this team could handle Faulkner if the AI knew how to use them lol
Up next is the Bad ending which is extremely short..
P.S: Personally I believe this ending is kinda BS for multiple reasons, I can understand the fact that brainwashing couldn't be removed and stuff but the fact that you would need to replay through the whole game if you didn't have a backup save... can be really bad.
