Vesta Vox: Episode 4 - "Black Beauty" by Anna Sewell
Welcome to Episode 4 of "Vesta Vox" - the podcast version of this channel which features discussions of books and literature, and will one day expand to author interviews, tours, and much more!
This episode goes over the general themes and impressions I took from "Black Beauty", as well as a quick overview of the author and some of my favourite quotes from the book. Reading this book as an adult was a bittersweet experience, as I found myself more able to relate to Black Beauty's plight. This gave me an even deeper empathy with not only the characters in the horses, but in the humans as well, engrossing me in the story and reminding me that life is not always what we hoped or dreamed it to be; but that in the end, we can find peace with this.
I always look forward to any feedback and support to grow in knowledge and ability, so please feel free to reach out. If you would like to support me or see more of my work, please visit my other media here:
