I finally found out who did the music for Burning Fists (Sega CD fighting game beta). It's Yusuke Takahama, and if you've never heard of him, the guy is a freaking stud. He started at Data East and worked on many of their NES games' soundtracks and has done A TON of other stuff, including Kick Master, Bloody Wolf (TG16), Joe & Mac (arcade) the Nakajima Satoru F1 series and was also a performer on the Dracula Battle and Snatcher Battle albums. He now runs his own music production company out of Tokyo called Target Entertainment, where he writes and produces music for games and pop artists.

But most people probably know him from his work on pinball games Last Gladiators and Necronomicon for Saturn. The tracks are so freaking good. Some of the most polished metal I've ever heard in game music, credit also going to Naoto Shibata (Konami Battle albums) and Doug Aldrich (heavy metal badass). Because most of the tracks on Last Gladiators are so short, I actually looped and shared my favorite tracks into a playlist here.
