Final Fantasy V by Chris Kohler is a very good book. Chris helped to create one of the firsts websites for the game, wrote a FAQ for it, and helped with a walkthrough for the game back in the 90s. If you played the game on an emulator, or if you imported it, and looked up hints online, then there is a chance you stumbled across his website. The book also goes over the history between the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games. Having struggled with this game in the mid-90s, I found this book to be a fun read.
