This is kind of a rare look at what was going on at Rockstar during the 2000s. A lot of the people at Rockstar, especially the Hausers, don’t come across very well in this. I get that they wanted to keep making bigger games and they wanted to push the boundaries of what could be in a game. However, at some point you would think they would realize maybe something was too far.

I got the impression the management at Rockstar didn’t care about the people who worked for him. They just wanted to make games their way and let the video game lobbyists take the heat for them. There wasn’t a sense of self awareness from the management. They didn’t seem to understand why people were mad, what they were doing to their employees, or how the things they were putting in their games might be too far.

Also, Jack Thompson come off as a pearl clutching, lying, manipulative, piece of crap. I couldn’t believe some of the stuff he was doing to censor the video game industry. He seemed to be obsessed with imposing his morals on everyone else.
