This reads like the autopsy of Atari following the video game crash in 83. Scott Cohen wrote this book in 84 and talked with several business and stock market analysts to try and get a picture of what happened.
He does retell the history of Atari and video games up to the point where this book was published. It isn't totally accurate because a lot of information wasn't known at the time. It does sound like Warner Communications was completely dis-functional and it wasn't just Atari which was being horribly mismanaged.
I thought this book was vert important as it gives you a good idea of what happened from a business stand point.
