Not much to say, the original 720p on the left, upscaled with Real-ESRGAN to 4K on the right.
I only have a 2K monitor, so not sure how it actualy looks on 4k, but hey, maybe you can tell me.

It works for Linux aswell, yes, and while is not for video files usage, I had a script to dump the individual frames, upscale and then restore the video.
Um...that's it. Oh yes, it took forever to render the images on my hardware, so not really practical unless you have a pretty beefy current hardware.
Edit: Yes, mangohud shows 1440p on the 720p side, but is was indeed 720p streched to 1440p, you can see it in the image quality.
Also, no FSR involved in this, it is actually an old video and I don't think FSR was even a thing at the time.
