Vintage LEGO Polybag Sets (with no minifigures) weren't vintage when I was a child. We had a few LEGO sets with a variety of LEGO bricks, but I remember getting these polybags (before we knew them as polybags) as prizes with our McDonald's Happy Meals. Yes, LEGO made us happy - and LEGO still makes me happy to this day, obviously. These sets, I believe, contained the very first black bricks in our collection - though I kept my LEGO bricks separate from my brothers' LEGO brick bins. Sure, they all interlocked with one another, but I wanted to keep their teeth marks off of my LEGO bricks as much as possible. On one of my nostalgic trips, I stumbled upon a very good price for all four fully-bagged sets - so I snagged them and will keep these LEGO bricks in their respective vintage polybags (unlike the sets that we tore into immediately when we were kids). The later vintage polybag sets were released in the '90s (as opposed to the first four in the '80s); I didn't have these McDonald's character printed brick sets until I purchased them at a reasonable price at auction. It's great to be a vintage LEGO set collector!
