Virtua Striker 3 (Sega Naomi Arcade Intro and How to Play Demo)
The original one and to think, this was supposed to be on the Dreamcast.....dead givewaway on the pitchside adboards!
Virtua Striker 3 was released in the arcades in 2001 with a hint of a Dreamcast release (as mentioned previously) but due to the console's collapse and Sega 'leaving the hardware business' (big mistake!), it never happened until the 2002 update on the Gamecube.
VS3 continues to use the same gameplay mechanics as the previous releases but there was a few updates such as the team entrances along with squad shots, the referees being very unpredictable with fouls are committed and guiding shots with the of the joystick/d-pad depending on what you played it on. Also, this is the last appearance of FC Sega (you'll see them very soon!) and the first for FC Sonic (also coming soon!)
Personal Thoughts: Despite owing the Gamecube version (Ver.2002), I only played the arcade version back when I was in uni and that was a tricky one with the arcade stick. Fast forward to now and becoming a owner of gaming PC now, I finally gave this a try through the Demul emulator and it was decent. I don't mind going through past games to see where the updates are but I love the challenge despite the fouls committed which can lead to losing players and the 'dreaded' penalty shootout! You can expect a few runs on this as the year closes and we head into 2021!
'Virtua Striker 3' was played through the Demul emulator, recorded via Nvidia GeForce Experience and encoded through WonderShare UniConverter.
