Evil Tonight is a top down light-Horror game, similar to Viviette, another Game from the same Dev Team. Or if you don't know Viviette, then imagine it like the first Resident Evil Game, but from a constant top-down perspective.
But instead of Zombies and Zombiefied things, you battle little monsters or ghosts. You do that by using your thrusty Knife, which uses up your Stamina and or shoot the enemies with your Guns.
The game seems to have a heavier focus on the battlesystem and is less focused on puzzles. It's also more lighthearted than Viviette or Resident Evil. The whole mansion is in Darkness, even with the many lightsources. You have a lightsource around you, which flickers from time to time and the other lightsources only light up, when you're on a certain distance.
