this is originally in a comment, but im copy pasting it to keep it safe. (plus i think the same rant, but formulated differently, already exists in the video of vldc9 best xD)
Your comment here reminds me of how much i am frustrated at this collabs results. Seriously, if i was a judge, things would have went WAY more differently!
I said this in another comment but playing through every level I sometimes found litteral softlocks!! Biggest example: blood moon lake (i think its called). BUT because its pretty it gets high praise. So like its a vannila contest, you praise the pretty, but because its pretty its unbareble to play! So confusing to plateforn these levels sometimes..... the Trangle level in lowfi world is a PAIN in the ass, but its pretty so praised! Plus judges are hardcore so they probably found it easyyyy. So sad purple plains got last, that one was a breath of fresh air for me xD.
But results... I played vldc8, and vldc9, and im never playing one of these again XD the judging is poor and rushed because there are too many levels, and the word vanilla lost it's meaning. Thank you for waking this rant 🤣
