Vlogging On A GoPro Hero 8 Media Mod With The RODE Wireless Go And Lavalier GO
In this video I'm testing the combination of the RODE Wireless GO and RODE Lavalier GO, specifically as an un-tethered wireless vlogging microphone system for the GoPro Hero 8 Black and its Media Mod.
I'm also specifically testing the RODE Lavalier GO concealed under my t-shirt using a Rycote undercover to stick the Lav GO to my chest.
Although I'd already tested this setup with the previous GoPro Pro 3.5mm mic adapter and found it to be an excellent wireless combination for GoPro vlogging. I had to test this setup just to see if there were any differences. As far as I can hear there is no difference, which is awesome. The main difference now is that the setup is even more convenient due to the 3.5mm mic jack input on the Media Mod and the cold shoes on the Media Mod which allow for mounting microphones etc.
When I do my full test of this setup I'll do some stuff in the park again, using the RODE Lavalier GO in a traditional position clipped to the outside of my t-shirt. I will then go into the busy Liverpool city centre and try it out in a noisy environment, where I will conceal it again under my t-shirt and I'll also do a quick summary indoors.
