I have always wondered what aircraft the French flew during the Battle of France in 1940.

Whilst the D.521 never progressed beyond the prototype stage (as outlined in this video), it was based on the D.520 which did see significant combat service in the Battle of France, and the entirety of the Second World War.

Time to put France's greatest airframe (featuring a British engine in the D.521) to the test.

Please forgive me for any words I mis-pronounce in this video.
