Warhammer 40K Saved My Mental Health
5,248I’ve been ashamed and scared for many years to open up about my mental health struggles. This is a story I’ve needed to share for a while now and I feel it’s the most important video I’ve ever made. The wargaming community helped me find my voice and through this trial of fire I’ve discovered many allies that exist. This is OUR home, Our family, Our community. We’re not going anywhere and there’s only courage, acceptance, and love.
THANK YOU everyone for providing me with a profound purpose: to be a champion of this, our community, and to show the world that wargamers are a breed of human that put pigment to plastic. That joy is found in the most unlikely of places. That friendship can be a medicine. That talking is acceptable and healthy. That it’s ok to quiet the world and be our ourselves. To achieve whatever it takes to make us happy and to spread that hobby love which laces every thought.
