Warp Cinema (GameMaker Studio) AdvJam23 Text Parser Horror Pixel Art Point & Click Adventure Game
You play Rick in the Adventure Jam game and you slept through a horror film in the cinema and need to get back to your friend. And short odysse awaits you all with a text parser that sometimes does not understand you. The puzzles are pretty straight forward and the story is short but engaging. There is not much music during the game, only during the end and the main menu and it is from the endless libray from Eric Matyas, so it is well chosen and there could have been a subtle track playing all through the game as well. The only sound effect is when you do something right, glad that works. There are no animations besides the walkcycle, but for a jamgame this works pretty well, the graphics get the meaning across and look pretty cool in their EGA style.

Synopsis:
An outing to the cinema takes an unexpected turn, when you wake up in the theatre and realize you slept through the movie. The crowd is gone, and so is your friend. Explore a cinema that may seem like the rest, but is anything but ordinary.
Warp Cinema is a bite-size text-parser adventure game made for Adventure Jam 2023 and takes about 10-15 minutes to play through. If people find it fun and interesting, I might work on it more and create a longer version.
