Developed by Beam Software and Released by Melbourne House in 1985.

The first fighting game I ever played and certainly one of the most memorable. Rather than an all-out brawl, this is a most civilised, gentlemanly contest, where the ability to block is equally as important as punching your opponents lights out.

The first player to land a strike against their opponent will be awarded a point. The first player to 2 full points wins the round. If the timer reaches zero, the referee will cast the deciding vote. Every so often, you face a short bonus stage where you have to avoid (or KO) a charging bull.

As you win more rounds, you progress to the next level, or "Dan", whereupon your opponent becomes tougher, blocking more of your attacks. The game ends when you get to the 10th Dan continually loops from then on, becoming a quest for points; this video records up until the end of the first loop of 10th Dan.

Enjoy!
