It's another night in The Last Spell and that means things are going from bad to worse. As the hordes of living dead continue to crash on our small haven, it's a wonder that some rickety barricades costing only 7 resources can hold the line. The enemies are getting deadlier, and death must surely be on the horizon. And yet we emerge. Another damnable day.

The Last Spell is a game that promises a lot: tactical combat and city building on top of surviving wave after wave of hellish creatures attempting to tear it all down. The art direction is solid and the soundtrack is amazing. But presentation aside, I'm happy to report that even in Early Access the gameplay loop works and works quite well. There's solid Meta Progression to help you continue to build towards something bigger, but for now one rule is clear: you will die. A lot. The fates have great designs for you, Commander.
