You play as Celeste (name subject to change), a half-angel valkyrie who was raised to fight demonkind on behalf of the Elysian Church. Unfortunately, the church itself is corrupt and eventually betrays her. Right before the cardinal kills her, Celeste gets an offer from the very demon lord that she was fighting earlier.

The captain can put a target status on character, making them more likely to be targeted by all enemies. Hopefully, the RNG will let you guard in time.
After that battle, I went to the Forgotten Tower, where Scheherezade somehow opens up the left door in the basement. This grants access to the Mana Lake, where you can upgrade certain items. So far, I've upgraded the the Empty Talisman, Excalibur Dormant, Flesh Ripper, Necromancer's Staff, Leek Blade, Twin Blades of Levanta, and the Elysium Beacon. Sadly, I only discovered the last one after I already beat the game. Also, there may be more candidates to be thrown in the lake, so unlike me, try literally everything.
Once you get near Ostburg, you'll enter the final TRPG section in the game. The enemy now has sniper units, who are all stationary but has an attack range of 8 tiles. To safely kill them, you must place an archer 9 tiles away from one, and then have the archer get as close as possible on the next turn. You also get the Tank unit, which can deal light AOE damage and must get close to the cathedral doors in order to win the mission.
You get one last chance to equip your party members. Once you go forward, the Valkyrie will have to fight some enemies solo, including that nameless scrub captain from before. Fortunately, he's stuck with much weaker robots this time, so the Valkyrie should be able to win if she's careful. Obviously, save before enter the last room, where you can interrupt the wedding between Alfredus Marian and Katarina Marlon in an epic fashion.

The first phase is balanced to be easy to solo. You'll have to guard when he uses Acumen to buff himself, and pray the RNG favors your turn priority. However, I recommend using Poison Vial so you can use the DOT effect to push him into his second phase while guarding. If you're lucky, you can survive his stunlock barrage just barely long enough for a party member to show up. Also, unlike me, you may want to use a food to buff the Valkyrie's max HP to better survive the stunlocking.
The second phase will feature stronger attacks depending on which route you took. Since I have the Half-Angel class, Marian focuses more on fire and ice spells to avoid targeting my resistances. Despite his massive powerup, he's still only human, and is surprisingly vulnerable to status effects. Make sure to have Fury built up to get rid of his minions as he summons them, and keep your HP high because he has a forced turn where he can use a powerful AOE spell. If done right, the DOT effects should do most of the work for you, allowing you to focus on defensive tactics.
After winning, the Valkyrie is not entirely happy about her victory despite being on the light path, since she knows that the people will eventually turn against her and fear her power. She ends up retiring with Riliane to become a humble farmer, though as a respite, the two get married in Arowar's church.
Personally, I think there should have been more screentime for Marian to examine his mindset, why he thinks the environment is a necessary sacrifice, etc. You'd think he would have at least try to go into detail about his ideology in the pre-boss cutscene.
