WedSNESday: Let's Play JAWS (NES)
This week, for the continuation of the Horror Month LJN Horror Movie Licensed NES Game extravaganza, Matt, Andrew & Luke are going to need a bigger boat, as it's JAWS! The game about people in a shell-based economy fight a big shark for some reason. Get ready for a lot of repetitive swimming/harpooning sequences, because it's time to fight the great white!

JAWS is another in the library of LJN-published movie license video games, specifically based around Jaws: The Revenge - the final movie in the long-lived Jaws movie franchise. Developed by Westone with under a month of development time, it puts the player in the role of a diver battling jellyfish, manta rays and small sharks in order to get enough money to buy equipment that will help them track, and eventually do enough damage to kill Jaws, the Great White shark. It has the distinction of being one of the first games ever released under the LJN label, and set the tone for a long and storied history.
WedSNESday is the Level 0 NPCs weekly series where we play one older game for one episode, just to relive the nostalgia and maybe make your hump day just a little bit more fun.
