WedSNESday: Let's Play Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (NES)
This WedSNESday, we round off Horror Month with the last NES horror movie-licensed classic(?) NES game, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, where we take on the role of young Chad Finletter, jogging, jumping, platforming, and stomping his way through an army of anthropomorphized tomato monsters raised in a plan for world domination by the evil Dr. Gangreen.

Based on the kids' cartoon, which is in turn based on the film sequel to the original Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, "Revenge of the Killer Tomatoes" of 1988, the NES game is a simplistic side-scrolling platformer, created by Imagineering and published by THQ in 1991. The player controls young Chad Finletter, on a quest to stop Evil Dr. Gangreen's doomsday tomato from turning the city of San Zucchini into ketchup.
WedSNESday is the Level 0 NPCs weekly series where we play one older game for one episode, just to relive the nostalgia and maybe make your hump day just a little bit more fun.
