Today we kicked off a lecture on something I've referenced a few times this semester - the notion that computer science doesn't live in a mathematically perfect bubble in which we can consider algorithms and machine learning separate from the real world, but rather that pretty much everything we do in computer science is going to affect the real world, and we should at least, you know, *think about it* first.


If that doesn't happen, then at least we as a society should have a conversation about these impacts. How is computer science changing our world? Do the pros outweigh the cons or vice versa?
