Week 6 of Season of the Splicer has arrived in Destiny 2 with it brings new story content. Last week, our Expunge mission ended in failure as destroying the Oppressive Mind on Europa did nothing to change the state of the Endless Night. Since destroying Oppressive Minds no longer seems to work, Mithrax proposed searching for the Vex Mind responsible for governing the Endless Night. This week, Mithrax tells us that he feels a malevolent force emanating from the Vex Network and that he has detected that the Nexus on the Tangled Shore has mysteriously reappeared. After completing Override on the Tangled Shore, we venture into Expunge: Corrupted Labyrinth. Upon entering, an ominous presence begins speaking to us through our HUD with malicious messages. Once we reach the Labyrinth, we see that the Nexus has been corrupted by the Taken and the Oppressive Mind restored. Destroying the Oppressive Mind of the Labyrinth once more, Mithrax briefly glimpses the Vex Mind perpetuating the Endless Night: Quria, Dreaming Mind. Quria is the half-Taken Vex Mind that Savathun used to curse the Dreaming City and has been controlling the Taken for her. Realizing the gravity of this new development, Saint-14 proposes an all-out assault into the Vex Network to destroy Quria. Mithrax and Ikora counter that this plan is reckless as they do not yet know which Nexus that Quria is hiding in. Also, with Savathun being involved, she would anticipate such a move. Ikora, Osiris, and Mithrax decide it would be prudent to gather more intel before striking. However, Osiris surprises Mithrax by insisting that they should capture Quria instead of eradicating it. Ikora decides to reserve judgment on this matter until Quria is located. As for us, all we can do now is wait.....
