Another week in Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer has arrived and with it brings new story content. After collapsing another Vex Nexus in Expunge: Styx last week, Mithrax has us on the hunt for another Nexus this week. Mithrax sends us into Override once again to gather Vex data which he uses to locate another Nexus. This new Nexus is on Europa and it is where the Vex plan and simulate their terraforming projects. It is our job in the new Expunge: Tartarus mission to collapse this Nexus. However, destroying the Oppressive Mind this time appears to have no positive change on the Endless Night. Ikora questions why this is and Mithrax remarks that other Vex Minds are now picking up the slack each time an Oppressive or Subjugated Mind is destroyed. To stop the Endless Night, we must locate the Vex Mind that is perpetuating the night itself. However, Mithrax has been unable to locate any trace of it in our missions so far. It will take more time to flush the Mind out. Meanwhile, back at the Tower, we speak with Saint-14 and he has been shaken by the story Mithrax told him last week. Saint-14 is sad to hear that children, even of an alien race, have come to fear him. He knows that this is not the man he truly is and while he still cannot forgive what the House of Rain did to the colonizers on Mercury, he now recognizes that Mithrax and House Light are different. He is now resolved to show the House of Light that he is not the monster they think he is. Mithrax is pleased that Saint is now opening up to his people, but recognizes it will take some time for the Eliksni to change their view of him.
