Intro Quest - The Lost Splicer & Override: Europa (No Commentary) | Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer
After 5 hours of "Error Code: Chicken" terrorizing me, I was finally able to play the intro quest of Season of the Splicer for Destiny 2. I'll cut right to the chase, I already like this season better than Season of the Chosen. I thought that the Override activity played very well and was far more engaging than the Battlegrounds. I'll more than likely be buying the season later today. Perhaps this video of the intro quest may inform some of your decisions as well.
Season of the Splicer revolves around Mithrax, Kell of House Light, and the plight of the Last City after being turned into a giant Vex conflux overnight. Realizing that the City is doomed if something isn't done quickly, Ikora and Osiris decide to seek out Mithrax as he is the last of the Sacred Splicers and has previously been able to open doors into the Vex network. In exchange for his cooperation, the Vanguard agrees to allow House Light to take up residence in the Botza District of the Last City (former site of the Scourge of the Past raid). Lakshmi-2, head of the Future War Cult, cautiously welcomes these Eliksni into the City, but fears a violent future that she foresaw days prior. In that future, House Light rebels and burns the City. Lakshmi is unsure if this future is inevitable, but is ready to take drastic action if necessary. But, in the meantime, it is up to us and Mithrax to work together to disrupt the Vex Network and free the City from their grasp.
