Weekly Painting Progress: Getting Backup for Burnout! 10/19/20
73So after thinking long and hard about it, I went ahead and set up a Patreon, if anyone cares. I'd really like to bump up the quality of the channel and every little bit helps.

I didn't get much painted this week, and after talking with my brother one day, we both hit upon the main reason why- there's no driving reason to get it all painted. We can't really play and neither of us are really into solo skirmish games. So I made a deal to get him motivated as well- I'm going to start showing off his weekly painting progress as well. Gotta keep things competitive. He may go for quality while I tend to push for quantity!
First of my Irish turned out alright. He just doesn't look very... Irish? Do I really need to make them all pale and ginger? Nah. That'd be kinda messed up. Tempting though. Maybe a few.
My favorite model this week is that crazy Zombiesmith muppet monstrosity. I've had him for ages and he just never seemed to be the right color. Well he's done now. It's sad that Zombiesmith is pretty darn obscure still, maybe outside of their Quar range. My big guy is a Nhilde from the Vidaar faction. Zombiesmith probably has the most consistently unique ranges of figures out there!
That Nasier Firehawk Reaver is so obscure I can't find any painted examples out there! Crazy! Is mine really the first? I doubt it. I'll post him on Instagram and Dakka just to prove the guys exist in the wild. A shame about his helmet- it was mush. I tried to paint it... but it didn't do much to help. Alas.
I continue to be impressed by the variety of models Comet Lord puts out. Today's model is Artorias, Tyrant Paladin. I wanted him to look bad and imposing, but still possibly a decent guy? Of all Comet Lord's newer models, he's one I've been curious about printing out the bust for. Did you know Comet Lord even does busts? I had forgotten!
Another Kingdom Death model done too. Progress, even if her eyes are a bit uneven and her thighs are kind of splotchy!
Maybe I can even coerce my brother to stop by and chat about his stuff at some point... hint hint!
