Every couple of years, there’s a show that comes on that takes the world by storm. The first time I really remember this happening was with the show LOST. And to a certain extent, it really WAS the first show to take the world by storm, and is partially responsible for all these kinds of shows. Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, and more recently Severance. There’s of course many others, but what happens when a show has all the set up, all the promise and intrigue of a show that would take the world by storm, but it never does? Well, then you get Westworld.
