When we think about missed opportunities in the Assassin's Creed franchise, we often think back to Assassin's Creed Unity, and what could have been if the game had actually "been finished". We think of the direction the franchise could have gone in if the game sold well, and where we would be now. it is a heartwrenching addiction we have as a fanbase to always harken back to the wasted potential of these wonderful ideas Ubisoft delivered in a half-finished shell, and Unity and its "could haves" are usually the primary source of our nostalgic, daydreamy woes. However, there is one other "what if?" that haunts me even more than that. Of course, I'm talking about the long-lost sequel to AC Origins, where we take control of Amunet and head to Rome, to watch her establish the brotherhood and create the tenets that guide it for centuries to come.

I always imagined that after Origins, we would have a trilogy, one that I was more excited for than I think anything else in the AC franchise. I wanted a second game with Aya in Rome, and then a third game where you can switch between Bayek and Aya in Greece. This trilogy, dubbed "the Mediterranean trilogy", was the single thing I wanted most in Assassin's Creed. Not just because I fell in love with the characters, but because I saw the community so connected and excited about Origins, a game we all seemed to like at the time, and it was the perfect setup to bring AC back into a Golden age of sorts. We were all ready to rally and show up for these characters, and there were so many easy and obvious improvements on Origins the devs could have made to make it a more complete RPG assassin experience (and none of those improvements had to do with adding dialogue choices or multiple endings or level gating). I remember I could HEAR my heart shatter when those expectations of a trilogy were dissolved the second I saw Alexios ride under a Greek statue in the new Assassins Creed trailer. That was the moment I actually left the Assassin's Creed franchise, from pure disappointment. I never played AC again until AC Valhalla years later, and though it is a game I enjoyed at the time and one that made this channel possible, it is still a Far cry away from the dream games I had dreamed up when I was playing origins for the first time and feeling that sense of wonder.

And here, 5 years later, I can finally get a glimpse of what that could have been. This is the mod I have wanted most since I got a PC, and, until last week, it was thought that AC Origins Modding was basically impossible. That's until Jinouga, Kuza, and Valkanya found a method to mod the game, creating a whole new age of RPG creed mods that I'm so excited to start using. I mean, the possibilities are endless.

Of course, from pure excitement, the first thing I did was go and make another Canon Stealth Video. For those who don't know, a canon stealth video is a series I have on the channel where I play exactly the way I think the assassin would have historically played according to their lore, using the right equipment and pushing the game mechanics to the limits to try and get the most immersive and assassin-esque play through, while being loyal to the character's lore. For Aya, or Amunet, that meant giving her no shield, and only one bow (this is how she is seen in the Hidden Ones DLC). I also gave her dual blades since these are her go-to weapons. I played her more aggressively, not necessarily worried about being detected sometimes, but more concerned with dispatching enemies quickly and with style. I chose the most Roman looking outpost in Cyrene, to really have a glimpse at how her outfit and her stealth would look in an ancient rome game, and honestly, I really love how the video looks. All the guards are Roman, the amunet mod works perfectly, and this is a perfect coupling to the first canon stealth video I made for Bayek. I hope you enjoy it.

This mod was done by @ValkanyaFRttv with the help of @jinouga-assassinscreedmodd3155 They, along with @kuza6750 are the first people to properly mod Assassin's Creed Origins, so again, thanks to them for making my dream mod come to life: https://www.nexusmods.com/assassinscreedorigins/mods/144
