The ending of Assassin's Creed Mirage was very satisfying to me, and while it may not have delivered a staggering twist to an expansive enigma, it gracefully expanded upon the rich lore established in Valhalla. I'm going to be controversial here and say that I loved, with every bone in my body, the modern-day/Isu storyline in Valhalla. Don't get me wrong, I hated the mythological gameplay sections of it and have never played anything more boring, but the story we got with the Norse Isu, Layla, Desmond and Basim is some of the more interesting AC Lore I've ever been exposed to. I truly think Darby Mcdevit performed a miracle pulling all those threads together. I love Basim's story and his link to the ISU (no spoilers) and I love how this is expanded upon in Mirage. The magnitude of the ending is one that is perfectly proportional to the magnitude of the game, and once again, it is a fresh change of pace. This isn't some universe-defining ending that changes the way we understand AC lore, and that is a good thing. This game manages to provide a compelling ending and tell a good origin story for one of my favourite characters in the franchise, and that is all I needed.

Ending the game in terms of gameplay, however, is no small change. Mirage is a stealth game that very heavily rewards you for the use of tools and abilities. it is also one that rewards you for understanding enemy behaviour and camp layouts. So playing through restricted areas of the game with a full toolset and an understanding of how to use your environment in your favour can completely change the experience of clearing the same camp you cleared earlier in the game. I thought it would be fun to show you my endgame assassin, and how I upgraded my tools to favour my style of play. I also think it is a good opportunity to show you how to use all the different tools harmoniously, and how to weave them into your use of assassin focus. Overall, I've absolutely loved AC Mirage and intend to continue playing it and replaying it for a while. but for now, enjoy my endgame assassin.

Assassin's Creed Mirage is an action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and published by Ubisoft. The game is the thirteenth major instalment in the Assassin's Creed series and the successor to 2020's Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
