What Are Snaps Really Like - Deb to Snap Transition Follow-up
174Follow-up to Deb to Snap transition in Ubuntu 19.10 where I look further at Disk Size claims, Security issues, Startup Speed, Usability, and Theming issues with Snaps compared to traditional Deb based package format
The change has started with Chromium in Ubuntu 19.10 and will be backported to earlier supported releases of Ubuntu.
More packages will be transitioned to being only Snap based over time.
There is no debate, it’s a firm plan that will eventually resources in building and testing.
