It was the 9th round and FM Aravind Ram L N (2116) faced Ziaur Rahman (2431) at the 13th KIIT International Chess Festival 2022 (Category 'A'). Though white had some initiative, still it was tricky as to how to actually break into the black's defense. Suddenly during the endgame opponent called the arbiter and mentioned that there has been a three-fold repetition. The arbiter checked the notations and upon confirmation of the three-fold repetition declared the game as a draw.
