This season we have two anime that have been extremely popular, Re:Zero and Orange. While Re:Zero is more of a fantasy story and Orange is more along the lines of a Slice-of-Life they both share a common theme or plot element. They both involve some form of time-travel.

But is it really time travel? I go into the science behind these series and examine what they shave in common. As we compare the two the truth of this time-travel becomes apparent. They aren't rewriting time, they are splintering dimensions in order to change the outcome that happened in the formal Universe.

Both Subaru and Naho are faced with interesting dilemmas. They know what is about to happen before it happens. This changes the outcome because they can anticipate something things and handle others even better. But they also face similar struggles. The more they change, the less useful their knowledge. So what do these changes do to the space-time continuum? Hopefully I help you understand how this all works.

With the finally of these shows around the corner, it's time we discuss what we have been observing so we can understand what has been happening and what might happen in the end.
