What Happened to my Email Address Behind the Scenes
4Hello everyone. If you have sent an email to my email address during the fire last Saturday and received an email from the mailer daemon who are trying their best to keep delivering the message for 3 or 4 days, only for it to fail due to the servers being unavailable, don't panic!
Apparently, the servers whom Kakao was using for most of their services were all set on fire and it was not only their fault for not backing up most of their data but SK's as well, and as a result, people were unable to use or send messages through KakaoTalk for more than 4 hours. Not only that, Naver was also affected, but thankfully they managed to save all of their data in time. However, SK is to blame, as according to Korean news outlets, they ignored at least two fire alerts in their own datacenter, which led to them getting raided by authorities this Friday.
On the other hand, NamuWiki has a much detailed article about this incident if you understand Korean, and according to them, Nate relies on Daum for advanced search features instead of using their own, in the end, everything in Kakao is apparently back to normal again as of Thursday evening. Anyways, I posted a comment on my latest gameplay video prior to this video, explaining the reasons why I was unable to play a video game in order to celebrate the 3rd anniversary of my fanfiction which was based on it.
Again, I'm very sorry if I didn't receive any emails, but this video will be unlisted for the time being.
