Vauld is a crypto exchange backed by the likes of CoinBase and PayPal founder Peter Thiel’s Valar Ventures. It suspended operations on July 4, 2022–including withdrawals, deposits and transactions—almost a year after it raised nearly $27mn. Vauld has claimed “financial challenges” in a LinkedIn post, and attributed that to the crash in the crypto market. It says withdrawals have exceeded $190mn since June 12, 2022.
